Description
La Seu is the **heart of historic Palma**. It has been a place of Christian worship since the 13th century. According to legend, when James 1 of Aragon was sailing to Mallorca to take the city from its Moorish occupants, he made a promise that if he was victorious, he would build **an enormous cathedral** on the island. And so was born La Seu.
Today, the cathedral is the **pride of the city** and just has to be visited. Don’t miss its spectacular gothic rose window, which is the **largest in the world**.
