Description

La Seu is the heart of historic Palma. It has been a place of Christian worship since the 13th century. According to legend, when James 1 of Aragon was sailing to Mallorca to take the city from its Moorish occupants, he made a promise that if he was victorious, he would build an enormous cathedral on the island. And so was born La Seu.

Today, the cathedral is the pride of the city and just has to be visited. Don’t miss its spectacular gothic rose window, which is the largest in the world.
