Description
After pick-up we will head inland to visit Vejer de la Frontera.
On our walking tour we will discover why this town, one of the most picturesque white villages in Andalusia, is included in the prestigious list of the Route of the most beautiful villages in Spain. We will walk through the historic centre of Vejer to learn about its Moorish and Christian past, a fusion of cultures that can still be appreciated by strolling through its whitewashed streets. We will pass through the ornate Plaza de España towards the walls of Vejer, a vestige of the ancient disputes between the Andalusian territories and the Christian kingdoms. After learning about these medieval battles, we will return to the bus.
We will then visit the white town of Conil de la Frontera, known for its stunning beaches and its tuna gastronomy. We will see places such as La Chanca, the old defensive building of the almadraba or the Tower of Guzmán el Bueno, a tower built on a hill to get the best view of the whole coast. At around 13.30h. We will start our way back to the different pick-up points.
