Description

After the pick-up, we will head towards the coastline of the so-called Costa del Atún (Tuna Coast). One of the most beautiful maritime areas of the province of Cadiz! To start the excursion we will visit the archaeological site of Baelo Claudia, located next to the famous beach of Bolonia, where we will contemplate an ancient Roman fishing village famous for the production of Garum sauce. In this enclave, we will travel back in time through its forum, theatre and period temples. The excursion will continue in Tarifa, which holds the privilege of being the southernmost town in Western Europe. We will take a short walking tour through the old town of this town located on the shores of the Strait of Gibraltar. Its main monuments include the Parish Church of San Mateo Apostle and the Castle of Guzmán el Bueno, the scene of a thousand and one legends. On our way back, we will take an alternative route to enjoy from the bus the coastal environment of other towns such as Zahara de los Atunes or Barbate
